Marilyn Jane Morris' Obituary
MORRIS (FRENCH), MARILYN JANE ""DAISY"" Age 84, of Brooklyn, passed away at Allegiance Health, Thursday, February 20, 2014. Marilyn was an active resident of the Brooklyn Living Center for the past 7 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Donald William Morris EdD; and parents, Harry Lee and Marion (Graf) French. She was born and raised in Ann Arbor, graduating from the old Ann Arbor High and then Sparrow Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1950. Over the years, she and her husband lived in different locations in the U.S. from the east to the west coast. Marilyn is survived by her four beloved children, Jaydene (Michael) Morris-Wagner of Grass Lake, Jerry Morris of Concord, NC, James Morris of Clarklake and Janelle Morris of Saline; four grandchildren, Stephani Morris, Marissa Morris, T. Collins and William Wagner; great-grandchild, Sampson Morris; brother, Arthur French and nephew, Chandler French and his family. Marilyn worked at several hospitals as an Operating Room Nurse, including Beyer, St. Joseph and Chelsea Hospitals. She enjoyed cake decorating, knitting, arts and crafts, walking, traveling the U.S. and Europe and camping at Holiday Shores in Durand, MI. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service to celebrate Marilyn's life will be held at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 11646 Old U.S. 12 (intersection of U.S. 12 & M-50), Cambridge Junction, MI on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 3:00 pm with Reverend Sandy Benes officiating. For those who wish, contributions may be given in Marilyn's memory to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.
