Marilyn Dwean Pickett's Obituary
Age 82, of Jackson, Michigan, went to be with her Lord on August 23, 2019. She is survived by her husband of 50 years; Jack, sisters; Shirley Murr and Beverly Patrick, numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Marilyn felt such love and support through the years from brother-in-law Kent (deceased), sister-in-law Beverly Pickett, nephews David and Kent Pickett, nieces Karen Huss and Jennifer Dysert, friend Chris Freeman and loving, close neighbors. She was also blessed to have the support of so many prayer warriors. Jack and her family will always remember the kindness and giving nature of the neighbors, friends and the church family that were of such wonderful assistance during her time of declining health. Marilyn was preceded in death by parents: George and Catherine (maiden-Ryckman) Kneeland, sister; Judy Kneeland, mother-in-law; Winona Major, brother-in-law; Kent Pickett, sister-in-law; Elaine McBee. Marilyn enjoyed attending classic car shows, collecting glassware, wintering in Florida, cooking, and she loved children. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Jackson (734 West Michigan Avenue) where a Memorial Service to commemorate her life will be held September 14 at 11 am with Dr. James Hegedus officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 am, and a luncheon will follow the service. Memorial contributions can be made to the Youth Haven Ranch in Rives Junction and the First Presbyterian Church.
