Mario Fortuna's Obituary
Mario Fortuna, 69, passed away July 31, 2023. Mario’s friends and family will gather on Monday, August 7, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Eineder Funeral Homes - Brooklyn Chapel. His funeral service will immediately follow at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Jeff Sheeks will officiate.
Mario was born on October 19, 1953, in Italy to Errico and Albina (Volante) Fortuna. Mario loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and gardening. He will be remembered as a hard worker who loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. They will greatly miss him and his homemade sauce and noodles.
Mario will be missed by his former wife and caregiver, Jody (Donnie); his children, Gabriella Fortuna; Errico “Eric” Fortuna; a brother, Emilio (Connie) Fortuna; grandchildren, Quinn and John Paul; mother-in-law, Sandra; brother-in-law, Tony Sole; nieces, Josephina (Benny); Rosalba (Daniel); Daniela; Marisa; Sarah (Shawn); Samantha; nephews, Riccardo (Michelle); Robert; and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Maria Sole; and Kody Lawitzke.
