Marjorie Ann Harris' Obituary
Marjorie Ann Harris, 89, of Jackson passed away peacefully at Jackson County Medical Care Facility and loving care of Elara Caring Hospice April 29, 2024.
Marjorie was born on August 10, 1934, in Jackson, Michigan to Lyle Duane and Donna (Case) Ford. She graduated from Brooklyn High School in 1952. Marjorie married the love of her life, Gordon Harris on June 14, 1953, at Seventh Day Adventist Church. They enjoyed 69 wonderful years together before his passing in January 2023. Marjorie was a committed member of her church, the Jackson Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was very interested in genealogy. She also loved to spend her time sewing, specifically quilting. She will be remembered as an extremely loving and sweet soul who was kind to all. Marjorie was very strong in her faith in God and deeply loved her family.
Marjorie will me greatly missed by; her children, LuAnn Ley, Kathy (Gary) Parker and Cheri Messner; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Gordon, twin daughters, Susan and Sharon, and sister, Jackie Church. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
