Marlene Patrias' Obituary
Marlene Patrias, 76, of Brooklyn, Michigan, passed away at the Jackson County Medical Care Facility on February 1, 2024. Marlene’s family and friends will gather from 10:00am-11:00am Wednesday February 7, 2024 at Eineder Funeral Homes - Brooklyn Chapel. Her funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 am.
She was born on November 14, 1947, in Pontiac, Michigan to James W. Burton and Jewell Schull. Marlene married, Michael L. Patrias, on October 29, 1979, in Ypsilanti, Michigan. She will be remembered for her dedication to her family, her sense of humor, and colorful stories. Marlene loved blue grass music, gardening, canning, cooking and always had delicious food and amazing fudge. She was an excellent shot, learning that skill at 6 years of age. Marlene adored all animals with the exception of snakes. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Marlene is survived by her children, Charles W. Kidd of South Carolina, Heather (Patrias) Barns (Wes) of Brooklyn, Michael Patrias of Hillsdale, 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Patrias, Sr. (2009), parents James and Jewell Burton, brothers Gregory Burton, Marcus Burton, Marvin Burton, Doug Burton, and Tim Burton.
