Marlyn Beatrice Filter's Obituary
Age 89, of Michigan Center, passed away September 12, 2016 at the Jackson County Medical Care Facility. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Larry Filter, two children, Gary (Cathy) Filter and Denise (Dan) Ruble, three grandchildren, Ryan (Jessica) Filter, Denise (Jeff) Urbain and Erin (Chris) Compton, six great-grandchildren, sister, Louise Dean, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles L. and Lula M. (Reese) Slater, two sisters, Gloria Sedore and Ruth Decker, brother Lowell 'Bud' Slater. She was a devoted wife and mother, enjoyed crossword, jigsaw puzzles, crafts and was an excellent cook. Marlyn was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Michigan Center. Services will be held at the funeral home Friday, September 16, 2016 at 3 pm with Pastor Ryan Prondzinski officiating. Interment Roseland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be two hours prior to service time. Contributions in her memory are directed to the Christ Lutheran Church, 4250 Page Ave, Michigan Center, MI 49254. The family would like to give a big thank you to the nursing staff and administration at the Jackson County Medical Care Facility where she received excellent and loving care.
