Martha Mathilda Carr's Obituary
Martha Carr, 95, passed away July 23, 2023. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date for Martha.
Martha was born on March 10, 1928, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Paul and Ruth (Stoll) Luckhardt. Martha married the love of her life, Dwight E. Carr, in 1961 in Saline, Michigan. She left her job at Argus in Ann Arbor to raise her family and assist her husband on their dairy farm. They remained married for 56 years until his passing in 2017. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved being around her family and placed her children and grandchildren at the center of her life. She also enjoyed bowling, puzzles, and reading.
Martha will be missed by her children, Cindy (Alan) Hanewald of Manchester, MI; Sandy (Tim) Carroll of Eaton Rapids, MI; siblings, Harold Luckhardt, Neil Luckhardt; grandchildren Derick (Ashley) Hanewald; Justin (DeAnna) Hanewald; Trevor (Megan) Hanewald; Jimmy (Melana) Simmons; Wyatt Simmons; Sierra Simmons; great grandchildren, Adalin and James Simmons; Alivia and Greyson Hanewald; Addison Hanewald; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Carr; a sister, Dorothy; and a brother, Edwin.
