Marti was a real estate agent for many years in the Jackson area finalizing her career in 2003 as the closing secretary for Dreyer Realty in Grass Lake, MI. She then became a partner in business with her daughter Wendy at their greenhouse; planting, growing and selling flowers. Marti was a Lioness with the Michigan Center Lioness Club and then a Lion with the Grass Lake Lions Club. She was a long time member of Christ Lutheran Church in Michigan Center. Marti loved to spend time together with her husband at their cabin that they had built near Grand Marais, MI. She and her husband were avid gardeners, growing most of their family food in their prolific garden. Marti created a garden wherever she went from Michigan to Kentucky to Alabama. Flowers were her favorite pastime.
