Mary L. Boland's Obituary
Age 95, formerly of Michigan Center, passed away at Arbor Manor Care Center September 8, 2016. She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Bill) Lambert; four grandchildren, Ashlee Adams, Kristin (Ben) Moore, Michelle (Tim) Boomer and Kimberly (Joey) Benson; six great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Helen Parrott; son-in-law, Jim Hopkins; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn H. Boland; daughter, Sue Hopkins; parents, Carl and Ida Parrott; two sisters, Marilyn Schramm and Lue Rose Smith and brother, Bob Parrott. She was a member of the Michigan Center Bible Church; during the war she was a 'Rosie the Riveter' working as a Class A Welder; she enjoyed her lavish flower garden and was a loving and caring grandmother. Services will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 11 am with Pastor John Tovey officiating. Interment Roseland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday evening 5-7 pm. Contributions in her memory are directed to the Cascades Humane Society or the Michigan Center Bible Church. The family would like to thank Arbor Manor and especially the staff in the North 1 unit for their compassionate care and support.
