Mary Annette Rumsey's Obituary
Mary Annette Rumsey, 69, from Jackson, MI, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at home surrounded by her family.
Mary was born on January 18, 1955, in Jackson, MI, to Orval and Phyllis (Lindley) Hull. She married the love of her life, Robert Rumsey, on April 19, 1980, in Jackson, MI. Mary graduated from East Jackson High School. She spent her life as a homemaker, taking care of her family and her home. Mary loved to cook; she could cook for hundreds of people, but still couldn’t fry an egg. She also enjoyed cross stitching, gardening and fishing. Mary’s favorite thing in life was her family. Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her. Every year, Mary and her family would take a vacation together; one year they went to Lake Sisco, in Canada. She enjoyed going to Grand Haven numerous times with her family. Mary will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who will truly be missed by all her knew her.
Mary will be missed by her husband, Robert Rumsey; her daughters, Lynell (Greg) Dillay and Shonda (Robert) Shirey; her sister, Lynette Kimbrell; her grandchildren, Robbie Shirey, Tylee Shirey and Rory Rumsey; many nieces and nephews and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, William Hull; her twin brother, Gary Hull; her brother-in-law, Lloyd Kimbrell; and her mother-in-law, Viva Rumsey.
