Mary Alice Spiegelberg's Obituary
Mary Alice Spiegelberg, 79 passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Mary’s family and friends will gather Friday, October 1, 2021, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Sharon United Methodist Church. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at 11:00 am following the visitation from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Sharon United Methodist Church, 19980 Pleasant Lake Road, Manchester. Interment will be at Rowes Corners Cemetery, Manchester, Michigan. Pastor Pete Harris will officiate.
She was born on March 6, 1942, in Sharon Twp, Michigan to Ivan and Minnie (Scripture) Alder. Mary married the love of her life, Leonard Spiegelberg, on April 14, 1961, he precedes her in death. She will be remembered for make her family her top priority. Mary raised many fine horses, enjoyed baking and gardening when she wasn’t playing cards. She liked to travel to casinos occasionally and visit with family on her way. Mary was a member of the Sharon United Methodist Church. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mary is survived by her children, Rex Spiegelberg of Sharon Township and Teresa Spiegelberg of Freedom Township; siblings, Beatrice Jarrell, of Kentucky, and Alda Young of Grass Lake; and many nieces and nephews and special friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard; her daughter Dawn Spiegelberg; her twin sister Betty Brown, and siblings, Shirley Ritz, Robert Alder, Ivan Gordon Alder, Virginia Ramey, George Young, and Carl Young.
