Maxine Louise Kessman's Obituary
Maxine Louise Kessman, 97, of Jackson, Michigan, passed away peacefully, Monday, August 4, 2025 at Henry Ford Hospice Home. At Maxine’s request cremation has taken place and no public services will be held. Interment will take place next to her husband at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan.
She was born on July 19, 1928, in Erie, Pennsylvania to Giles and Maude (Slagle) Thomas. Maxine married the love of her life, John, in 1946, in Erie, Pennsylvania, they were married for 63 years when he sadly preceded her in death in 2009. Maxine retired from the office at Electric Wholesale after many years of service.
Maxine will be missed by her children, John (Debbie) Kessman, Barbara Miller and Marlene (Don) Rolls; grandchildren David Kessman, Chad (Lori) Kessman, Brian (Tracy) Kessman, Joseph (Jennifer) Abrams, Darcey (Josh) Eagen and Karon (Jon) Ringenberg; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Giles and Maude Thomas and her sister and brother-in-law Frances (Mike) Church.
