May Belle Finch's Obituary
May Belle Finch, 87 was embraced in the loving arms of Jesus her Savior November 11, 2023, under the attentive care of the staff of Victorian Villa, Careline Hospice and her family. May was a longtime Brooklyn resident and retired from Columbia Schools where she proudly drove school bus for decades of area students.
May was an active member of Abundant Life Church until she became home bound, and she leaves a lasting legacy of love, faith, servanthood and generosity.
A long-time crafter, she loved creating various items by knitting, crocheting, cross stitching, and quilting. She created many items that will bring fond memories to those she loved for years to come.
As much as May loved to create items, her pride, joy and most treasured creation was her family. May is survived by her children, Helen Leverett of Tecumseh, Carol (Richard) Denney of Greenville, Mark (Chris) Finch of Brooklyn, Mike (Lisa) Finch of Evans Lake, Kevin (Renee) Finch of Napoleon and Tammy (Doug) Hadden of Lake Somerset. May cherished her 13 grandchildren, adored her 18 great grandchildren and delighted in her 8 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Howard, whom she married the day after she turned 16, he was truly her lifelong love, also her parents Ray & Thelma Colvin, her siblings and son in law Harry Leverett.
Visitation will be held at Eineder Funeral Homes – Brooklyn Chapel (137 S. Main St. Brooklyn, MI) Thursday, November 16, 2023, at 11:00AM with a celebration of her life immediately following at 12:00 P.M. Interment to immediately follow at Highland Cemetery, Brooklyn, MI. Pastor Steve Samonek of Abundant Life Assembly of God Church officiating.
