Melba Arlene Ruoff's Obituary
Melba Arlene Ruoff, age 89, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on February 2, 1934, in Jackson, Michigan to William and Arvilla (Palmer) Spicer. Melba married the love of her life, David Ruoff, on March 12, 1955, in Jackson, Michigan. She will be remembered as one of the nicest people you have ever met. She was even given a motto in high school that she lived her entire life by: “Melba Spicer – couldn’t be any nicer”. Melba never met a stranger and became friends with everyone she met. She also loved her dogs and had many of them throughout her life. At one point, Melba had 29 Husky’s, creating her own dog sledding team that she raced!
Melba’s family would like to thank the entire staff at Ganton’s Countryside Care Center for their outstanding care that Melba received while she lived there.
Melba will be missed by her son, David John Ruoff Jr, her sister, Alice Taylor and special friend Sue Drinkwater. Melba is preceded in death by her beloved husband, David, her brothers Don and Wilmut Spicer and her parents. Please leave a message of comfort for Melba’s family or sign her guestbook at www.EinederFuneralHomes.com.
