Melvin C Stone's Obituary
Stone, Melvin C., age 76, of Michigan Center, passed away August 31, 2014 in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Elaine (maiden-Bristow) Stone, four children; Kelly Stone, Carol Greer, Jim (Maria Elena) Thomasson and Jeff (Heather) Thomasson, four grandchildren; Tracey, Crissy, Klayton and Morgan, five great-grandchildren and his brother, Bill (Lynda) Stone. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Stone Sr. and Iris Davis. He retired after 42 years of service as a locomotive engineer from Norfolk and Southern, served the Nation in the USMC Reserves and was a member of the Polish Falcons in Jackson and the Michigan Center Lions Club. He enjoyed golf, Michigan football, spending time on the lake, going to casinos and there was nothing he enjoyed more than spending time with family. At his request cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held at the funeral home Friday, September 5, 2014 at 11 am. A Lions Memorial Service will immediately precede the services and the family will receive friends from 10 am until service time. The family directs memorial contributions to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. ""Go Blue""
