Michael David Ackley's Obituary
Michael David Ackley, 56, of Jackson, Michigan, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2024. Michael’s family and friends will gather for a celebration of life at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the Leslie American Legion Post 491 – 422 Woodworth St. Leslie, MI 49251. Following services will be a luncheon.
He was born on November 4, 1967, in Jackson, Michigan, to Bobby J. and Lola Jean (Young) Ackley. He proudly served in the Army National Guard. He married the love of his life, Linda Lee Linabury, on May 25, 1989, in Jackson, Michigan. He will be remembered for his wonder and admiration of Christmas. If Michael could, he would have celebrated Christmas 365 days a year. Setting up and displaying his massive assembly of trees, lights and various collections was his favorite pastime. His many ventures to Bronner’s would fill several hours each visit. Michael loved his family and believed his daughter Kimberly “Kimmie” to be their miracle baby.
Michael will be missed by his wife of 35 years, Linda; his daughter, Kimberly; siblings, Candy Ackley, Bobby (Kelly) Ackley, Randy (Vicki) Ackley and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bobby J. and Lola Jean Ackley.
