Michael Terry Kegley's Obituary
Age 74, of Brooklyn, Michigan, peacefully passed over into heaven from his home on Monday, April 25, 2022.
In Mike's words,
"I was the beloved husband of Sandra Paul-Kegley, step-father of Vickie Shelton; cousin of Bobby Kegley and son of Darris and Grace Kegley.
I retired from Chrysler Corporation's Trenton, Michigan Plant where I was proud to have worked.
I loved my wife Sandi and daughter Vickie Lynn, my little dogs Ms. Minnie and Lit' Pearl. I enjoyed reading my King James Bible, working, fishing, working on my motorized bikes and playing bluegrass music for many years on my mandolin."
Mike was a top-shelf picker and singer in bluegrass music.
At a festival in Kentucky, Bill Monroe heard Mike playing his mandolin at a campsite and invited him to play on Bill's show that night. Mike played many shows for famous musicians such as Bill Monroe. He was a full time member of Bob White and the Candy Mountain Express, along with Mike's band Nitro Hill and many others including Raisin' Corn.
Now Mike plays and sings for Yahshua as he is enjoying the many splendors of heaven.
Private interment services at Highland Cemetery in Brooklyn have taken place and as was Mike's request, no public services will be held.
