Michael Lawrence Longoria, Sr's Obituary
Age 55, a lifetime resident of Jackson, passed away at home on Saturday October 24, 2020. He is survived by his son, Michael Longoria Jr.; stepson, Matthew Velasco; granddaughter, Azarah Longoria; father, Lawrence Longoria; two sisters, Lisa (Eric) Hoplamazian and Susan (Tom) Murray. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra K. (nee Leonard) Longoria. Michael was a long-time cook at the Jackson Interfaith Shelter where he enjoyed giving back to the community as well as fostering unique relationships with both staff and residents. Michael was a musician, an avid fan of Rock & Roll music and an ardent collector of vintage music memorabilia. He enjoyed building upon his personal collection as well as sharing his breadth of rock and roll knowledge with friends and family alike. Mr. Longoria has been cremated and no services will be held.
