Mildred Ella Burgett, 95, of Jerome, Michigan, passed away on June 18, 2026. Mildred’s family and friends will gather 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Monday, June 22, 2026 and 10:00 AM– 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at Eineder Funeral Homes – Brooklyn Chapel. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at Eineder Funeral Homes – Brooklyn Chapel. Pastor Larry Rubingh will serve as celebrant. Burial will follow at Somerset Center Cemetery.
She was born on November 19, 1930, in Detroit, Michigan to Lofton and Ella (Zimmerman) Davis. Mildred married the love of her life, William B, on June 5, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan. They enjoyed many years together until his passing. She will be remembered for her love of gardening, cooking, knitting and traveling to several destinations. Mildred was a member of the Red Hat Society, Eastern Star and attended the Somerset Center United Methodist Church. She worked for the DTI Railroad and retired in 1983. Mildred had a great sense of humor, had many friends and loved life to the fullest. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mildred will be greatly missed by her children, Gary (Deborah) Burgett of Tecumseh, Janet of Monroe and Ronald of Jerome; grandchildren, Robert (Caitlin), Erica (Matt), Christina; great grandchildren, Annabel, Izzabel and Sylas; niece Debbie (Mike), Jeff (Laura). She is preceded in death by her husband William, her parents Lofton and Ella; her Brother Richard Davis; and son-in-law Robert Canfield.
