Mildred E. English's Obituary
Age 82, of Jackson, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, July 4, 2021. Her family would like to give a special thanks to Amy, Heartland Health and Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice for their kind efforts and compassionate care.
Mildred is survived by her beloved family, her husband of 48 years, Ronald R. English; her daughter (and pride and joy), Carol (Robert) Monk, Jr, grandchildren, Kayla, Rebecca and Robert G.R. Monk, great-granddaughter and "Pumpkin Seed", Aniah Monk; son, Clarence (Tammy) Hornsby Sr., grandsons, Clarence W. II and Austin Hornsby; great-granddaughter, Irene Hornsby; son, James (Renate) Hornsby Sr., grandsons, James Jr and Estil Hornsby; son, Edgar Hornsby; also surviving are her brother, Lester (Joan) Troutman; sister-in-law, Joanne Troutman; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Carol (Marsh) Troutman; sons, Richard English and William Hornsby; and brother, Donald Troutman.
Mildred loved animals and spending time with her husband, daughter and grandchildren. She absolutely adored her great-granddaughter, Aniah. She enjoyed watching wrestling and University of Michigan Football with her family.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 120 E. Wesley Street, Jackson, MI 49201 on Monday, July 12, 2021 at 10:00 am with Reverend Richard Eberle officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday beginning at 9:00 am. Interment will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mildred to her family in care of her daughter Carol Monk, to help with final expenses would be appreciated. Funds can be sent to the funeral home address, P.O. Box 802, Michigan Center, MI 49254.
