Milo Palen's Obituary
Palen, Milo Age 96, of Napoleon Township, passed away April 6, 2014 at his home under the loving care of his family and Allegiance Hospice. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Phyllis P., three daughters, Kathleen (Denny) Donaldson, Patricia (Tom) Finco and Carol (Dennis) Carrier, seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and his niece, Eleanor Palen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Philo and Lillian (Ebbert) Palen and two brothers, Ora and Guy. Milo was an Army/Air Force veteran of World War II, retired after 26 years with the Jackson City Police as a Sergeant, Life member of the Jackson Lodge #17, Free and Accepted Masons and the Jackson Fraternal Order of Police. Mr. Palen has been cremated. A Memorial Service honoring his live will be held at the funeral home Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 11 am, with Pastor Jim Watson, Christ Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation one hour prior to service time. Military Honors will be given by the Jackson County American Legion Ritual Team. The family would like to thank the Allegiance Hospice caregivers, Charlie Cole and Cayci Steele for their wonderful service. The family directs contributions in his memory to the Allegiance Hospice.
