Morris Elton Todd's Obituary
Morris Elton Todd, Age 100, from Onondaga, MI, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at the Jackson County Medical Care Facility. Morris’ family and friends will gather from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Michigan Center, MI. His Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Father Thomas Helfrich, OSFS, will serve as celebrant. Interment will take place at 2:30 p.m. at Roseland Memorial Gardens.
He was born on June 2, 1924, in Onondaga, MI, to Glenn and Zena (McDonald) Todd. Morris married the love of his life, Frances Irene Osborn, who he sadly lost in 2014. He worked at Painter’s Supply Company until his retirement. Morris also owned the East side laundromat for 15 years. He was an active member of the Michigan Center Lions Club and Our Lady Fatima Catholic Church in Michigan Center. Morris also spent 15 years as a member of the Kiwanis East Club and was the president in 1969. He was mechanically inclined. Morris enjoyed keeping his lawn mowed and looking nice. In his younger years, he loved gardening, and his children remember the delicious sweet corn he would grow. Morris had a swimming pool at his home, where he would have parties with his co-workers. He also dearly loved his kitty, Tessie Jo.
Morris will be missed by his sons, Leland (Nancy) Todd and David Todd; grandchildren, Michael Todd, Lindsey Todd and Charles Kilgore; his great granddaughters, Paislee, Emersyn and Kendall; several nieces and nephews; his special nephew, Larry Todd; his special friends, Lori Jo Butler, and Mary (Aaron) Berlin and their daughter, Erin Berlin; 2 step grandchildren, Lisa (Kevin) Stanton and Chris Fisher; 2 step great grandchildren, Cassandra Stanton and John Robert “Jack” Stanton; and 1 step great-great grandchild, Ramona Jack. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his 6 brothers, LeRoy, Austin, Robert, Donald, Gale and Garth Todd; and his 2 sisters, Lorna Scutt and Mildred Todd.
