Nancy Joan Fish's Obituary
Nancy Joan Fish, 83, of Brooklyn, Michigan, passed away at home on December 15, 2022. Nancy’s family and friends will gather Monday, December 19, 2022, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Eineder Funeral Homes - Brooklyn Chapel. Her funeral service will be held following visitation at 12:00 pm.
She was born on December 4, 1939, in Waldron, Michigan to Otto and Pauline (Ray) Baker. Nancy married the love of her life, Gordon Fish, DVM, on September 15, 1962, at the Prattville Congregation Church. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Nancy graduated from Waldron High School, Class of 1957. She worked for Michigan Bell as a telephone operator in Lansing. Nancy then went on to be administrator for her husband’s veterinarian clinic for many years. She was a 4-H mom and spent years on the Lenawee County Fair Board. She enjoyed raising Welsh ponies and gardening. Nancy loved singing, dancing, and vacationing in the Grand Cayman Islands.
Nancy will be missed by her children, Tracy Litzer of Toledo, Ohio, Jody (Mike) Hayes of Brooklyn, Andrew (Michelle) Fish of Brooklyn; brother Merlin (Marylou) Baker of Bryan, Ohio; grandchildren Katie Roberts, Mary (Lee) Cook, Cody Hayes, Haden, Riley and Avery Fish; great grandchildren Ava Roberts, Landon Hayes, Moses Cook and Arrow Cook. She is preceded in death by her husband “Doc” Fish, her parents and brother Marion Baker.
