Nancy Lou Mohney's Obituary
Nancy Lou Mohney, age 91, passed away February 1, 2023, surrounded by her loving family and caring nurses. A Celebration of Nancy’s Life will be announced at a later date.
She was born on July 15, 1931, in Addison, Michigan to Max and Sophy (Hickory) Pitcher. Nancy married the love of her life, Billy, in Jackson, Michigan. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, willingness to always listen, and never sweating the small stuff. She loved her family and friends deeply. Nan was always willing to share the stories of growing up with her cousins and the mischief they got into. Bill and her son Jim were the focus of her world. When both passed too soon, she would say that rather than being sad she would dream of the day she sees them again. She loved being outside and tending to her lawn and garden. Anyone that knew Nancy will remember that she was always “adequate”. Nancy was very involved in her church, First Congregational Church in downtown Jackson and loved to dance.
Nancy will be missed by her special grandson, Kenny (J.T.) Warner, nieces and nephews; Maude (Denny) Phillips, Sam (Anette) Rieder, Jennifer (Jeff) Taylor and Sarah (Paul) Lindsay. She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving Husband William “Billy”, her son, James Mohney, and Sister and Brother-in-law, Jane, and Sam Rieder
Memorial contributions are suggested to Careline Hospice or First Congregational Church. Please leave a message of comfort for Nancy’s family or sign her guestbook at www.EinederFuneralHomes.com.
