Nancy Gale Powelson's Obituary
Nancy Gale Powelson, 67, of Brooklyn, passed away peacefully at home May 11, 2023. Nancy’s family and friends will gather Tuesday, May 16, 2023, from 3:00 - 6:00 PM at Eineder Funeral Homes - Brooklyn Chapel. Her Funeral Liturgy will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 11:00 AM with friends and family gathering from 10:00 until time of service at St. Rita Catholic Church, 10516 Hayes Road, Clarklake. Burial to follow at Jefferson Cemetery. Deacon Chris Vida will be presiding.
She was born on August 6, 1955, in Miami, Florida to Joseph and Shirley (McCready) McMullen. Nancy married the love of her life, Frank Powelson on December 29, 1978, in Miami, Florida. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a beautiful woman inside and out; she did some modeling and was runner up in the Miss Miami pageant. Nancy was a great cook and loved spending time with her family. She gave her time volunteering at the American Cancer Society, Columbia Schools, and Brooklyn Living Center. She rarely missed an episode of Price is Right.
Nancy will be missed by her husband Frank; her daughters Autumn (Tony) Zaszczurynski of Brooklyn; Corey Black of Texas; siblings, Douglas McMullen, and Constance McMullen, both of Merritt Island, Florida; grandson David Zaszczurynski, and two nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Michael McMullen.
