Nelson Edgar Brown's Obituary
Nelson Brown, age 84, of Michigan Center, passed away at home in Leoni Township on November 25, 2023. He is proceeded in death by his beloved wife, Gloria in 1995; brothers, Everett (Alvena), Virgil “Coyle” (Tillie and Jan), Jerry and Lynn Brown; sister, Vesta Brown; sister-in-law, Pauline Brown and parents, Asa, and Iva (Keeney) Brown. Nelson is survived by many nieces, nephews, and good friends. Nelson was a 1957 graduate of Napoleon High School and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1959-64. His career took the path of over 8 years as a carpenter; then 21 years with Canteen, servicing vending machines and finally 15 years with the American 1 Federal Credit Union as an ATM service technician. Nelson was very active with the Federal Order of Eagles, Aerie #612, where he was a longtime Trustee; and with the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #156, he went through all the chairs, serving as District President and twice as Governor. Cremation has taken place, and a private interment of ashes will take place at Leoni Cemetery on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 1:00PM.
