Norma Jean Jackson's Obituary
Age 90, of Michigan Center, passed away Monday, March 7, 2022 at the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home. Norma was born in Jackson, Michigan on Sunday, February 14, 1932 to the late Walter C. and Nellie F. (Vrooman) Armstrong. She is survived by four children; William C. (Charlene) Jackson, Jeffrey L. Jackson, Gregory G. Jackson and Daniel S. (Elizabeth) Jackson, nine grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, sisters; Frances (Carl) Drake, Phyllis Mott, sister-in-law; Carole Edwards, many nieces and nephews. Besides her parent she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Henry Lee Jackson in 2015, son; Henry Lee Jackson Jr., daughter; Gayle Shade and son-in-law; Butch Shade, brothers; David Edwards and Henry Fuller. She was a retiree of Mechanical Products where she worked many years as a supervisor in their Space Shuttle division. Norma and her late husband were founders and charter members of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #3634, Michigan Center and the Ladies Auxiliary, where she served as a Trustee for many years. She was a loving and caring mother who will be keenly missed by her loved ones and friends. Services will be held at Arthur-Day Funeral Home on Monday, March 14, 2022 at 11 am with her grandson; Matthew Jackson officiating. Interment Roseland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, March 13, 2022 from 2 to 4 pm. Contributions in her memory are directed to the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home.
