Novella Mariposa Erickson, passed away November 17, 2025. Novella’s family and friends will gather 10:00 a.m. – 11:00a.m., Friday, November 21,2025 at Ganson Street Baptist Church. Her funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Allen Grover serving as celebrant.
She was born on October 21, 2025, in Detroit, Michigan to Noah Erickson and Larissa VanOver of Jackson, Michigan. Our sweet Vella girl, we prayed for you and we loved you tremendously. I hope Papa and sissy keep you safe until we meet again. You had my hands and feet. You were my little mini-me. I love you with everything I have. We will never forget you. I love you.
Novella will be greatly missed by her parents Noah and Larissa; siblings, Zuriyana. Larenzo, TayMir; grandparents, Teea Erickson, Teresa VanOver, Loretta Wittman; great-grandparents, Darla Erickson and Bernice and Johnnie VanOver; Aunts, Sierra VanOver, Rylee Green, Maria VanOver and Uncle Brent Arras; Godmother Brynn Soles. She is preceded in death by her sister, Amiriana Payne and great-grandfather, Thomas Erickson.
