Orma Jean Jurewicz's Obituary
Orma of Jackson, Michigan passed away on March 17, 2021 at the age of 95 at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home. She was born on September 3, 1925 in Jackson, Michigan to Oron and Maude Wilkes. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Edmund) Marvin; her foster son, Randy (Eugenia) Lashbrook; and her daughter-in-law, Karen Jurewicz; her sister, Barbara Harsch; her grandchildren, E.J. (Liza) Marvin, Angela (Scott) Derby, Catherine (Kurt) Buche, Robert (Brittany) Marvin, Sarah Jurewicz, Scott Jurewicz, Stephen Jurewicz, Randall (Nguyet) Lashbrook; eleven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Orma was preceded in passing by her husband, Frank S. Jurewicz and her sons, Robert "Robbie" Jurewicz and Frank "Rick" Jurewicz.
We want to extend a deep thanks to her caregivers Rose, Kathy, and Mary for their service and friendship over the years.
Orma, a woman unique as her name, was a loving and generous mother and grandmother. She could always be counted on for a witty remark, a cold Faygo or Vernors, and a sweet treat. She enjoyed reading, crafting, and games and would happily spend time discussing the pros and cons of every slot machine in existence. She always kept her sense of humor and lived a full life. She will be missed deeply.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Michigan Center on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 11:00 am with Father Satheesh Alphonse, SdC officiating. Interment will follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday Evening from 5 to 7 pm and at church on Tuesday beginning at 10 am.
