Patricia, Louise Crane, 85, of Michigan Center, Michigan passed away Friday, August 9, 2024. Patricia’s family and friends will gather from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday August 14, 2024, with Lioness Lions Club Honor at 6:30p.m. and Thursday, August 15, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Eineder Funeral Homes – Michigan Center Chapel (Formerly Arthur-Day Funeral Home). Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 15, 2024, Eineder Funeral Homes – Michigan Center with burial to follow at Leoni Cemetery. Pastor Dave Schwartz will officiate.
She was born on March 1, 1939, in Jackson, Michigan to Vaughn Hoy and Dorothy Phyllis (Klaasse) Baxter. Patricia grew up on a dairy farm with her brothers and following graduation from Jackson High School she married her high school sweetheart, George Crane, on November 15, 1955, in Jackson, Michigan. She will be remembered as a loving and generous mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Patricia was active in the Lioness Club of Michigan Center, the Fern Leaf Charter 66 Order of the Eastern Star and Napoleon United Methodist Church. She also succeeded in a career in bookkeeping with the Planning Commission. Patricia loved to read, bowl, and especially feed all the animals that visited her in her backyard. Being an avid photographer, you would often find Patricia behind the lens of her camera capturing her family and friends on film. She loved bundling her printed photos and giving them to family for keepsakes. Patricia was kind and charitable, always available if you were in need.
Patricia will be deeply missed by her children, Randall (Melissa) Crane, Mark (Pamela) Crane and Andrew Crane; siblings; David Baxter, Larry (Kaye) Baxter, sister-in-law Judy Main, ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her very special friend, Tom Weaver.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Vaughn and Dorothy Baxter, husband George Crane and brother Ken Baxter.
