Patricia Ann Smith (Essex)'s Obituary
Age 81, of Henrietta Township, passed away December 5, 2015 at the Allegiance Hospice Home. She is survived by two daughters, Vicki (David) Brunk and Christine (Don) Hector; five grandchildren, J.D. (Jamie) Webb, Daniel (Laura) Smith, Kevin (Jessica) Webb, Marsha (Jesse) Gooldy and Rachel Lennox; daughter-in-law, Patty Bachman; three brothers, George Laitila, Richard (Georgia) Larson and Ron (Sharon) Essex; sister, Gloria Connin; many nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Willard R. Smith Sr. in 2002; her son, Willard R. Smith Jr., grandson, Aaron Smith and her parents, Dennis (Helen) Essex and Lina (Helmer) Larson. She was a hard working farmer's wife who loved to sew, quilt and crochet, enjoyed bowling and was on the Willie's Angels bowling team for many years and was an avid Tiger Baseball Fan. She had a kind, generous and giving soul and was thoughtful and supportive to all. Services will be held at the funeral home Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 11 am with Chaplain Wendy Waltz officiating. Interment Roseland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday evening 6-8 pm. Contributions in her memory are directed to the Allegiance Hospice Home, 2150 Kingsbrooke Drive, Jackson, MI 49203.
