Paul Duane Mason's Obituary
Mason, Paul Duane Age 75, of Blackman Township, passed away September 30, 2013 after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gayle D.; his daughter, Sally (Dan) Wawiernia; brother, Walter A. (Gertrude) Mason Jr.; sister, Delores Reilly; half brother, James (Karen) Mason; half sister, Constance (William) Welsh; father-in-law, Wayne Boldrey; mother-in-law, Carlene Burns; many nieces, nephews., a host of friends and extended family. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Benjamin Rex Mason; his parents, Walter and Golda (Morris) Mason and brother, Edward Mason. Paul graduated from Vandercook Lake High School, served the country for eight years in the US Navy Reserve, was a Vandercook Lake area Barber for many years, worked at Pittsburgh Forgings and Anchorpac, worked at Michigan International Speedway 32 years, enjoyed nature and was an avid sports fan, favoring MSU, NASCAR and the Detroit Tigers. Services will be held at St. Rita's Catholic Church Friday, October 4, 2013 at 11 am. Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 pm with a Recitation of the Rosary at 7:30 pm and at the church one hour prior to service time. Contributions in his memory are directed to his family to help defray final expenses.
