Paul Stanley Palaszek's Obituary
Paul S. Palaszek, age 82, passed away unexpectedly at home on February 18, 2025. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Stanley and Cecilia Palaszek, and three of his siblings: Theresa Palaszek MD (and Jerome Mancewicz MD), Miss Bernadette Palaszek RN and Casimir Palaszek DDS (and Joyce Palaszek). He is survived by his wife Barb Timmer and his sister, Sr. Mary dePaul (Justina) Palaszek RSM, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Paul grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He went to Sacred Heart grade school and then graduated from St. Bonaventure's High School in Sturtevant, Wisconsin. He also graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in business. Paul excelled as a salesman working for Parke Davis. His most recent employment was with the Medtronic company.
Paul was an avid sportsman. He loved hunting, fishing and boating. He took several African safaris and brought home many trophies that he proudly displayed in the great room of his home. He took many fishing trips to Canada, Alaska and the east coast where he caught a massive Tuna. Paul enjoyed taking sailing trips with Barb and he spent many hours on Wamplers Lake in his Chris-Craft and pontoon boat. He also enjoyed spending time with friends and family at his cabin on the Little Manistee River near Irons for 37 years. There were lots of great times snowmobiling, playing a good game of cribbage, and enjoying aged Scotch and a fine cigar by the fireplace. He enjoyed watching Michigan State sporting events.
Paul was active at the Eagle's club he belonged to in Brooklyn, Michigan. He was an excellent cook and helped with the dinners put on at the club. He was on their shuffleboard table teams and loved to win. Recently he donated many of his hunting and fishing mounts to the Brooklyn Sportsman's Club where his legacy will be proudly remembered.
