Peggy Ann Nastally's Obituary
Age 86, of Michigan Center, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice. Peggy is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Robert J. Nastally; seven children, Cheryl Jones, Cynthia (Jim) Gorton, Steve (Carolyn) Schaff, Vernon Schaff, Connie (Brian) Hinkley, Catherine (Glenn) Smith and Robin (Rob) Schrameyer; 21 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; half-brother, Joseph Allen; siblings-in-law, Virginia Allen, Albert (Myrna) Nastally, Richard Nastally and Pat Brownrigg; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Lloyd Allen, Hazel Marie Cavender, Ellis "E.B." Allen and Vernon Allen; siblings-in-law, Leroy Wiles, Eleanor Wiles, Erna Denton and Stanley Nastally. Peggy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who truly enjoyed making each family member feel as they were her favorite. She and Bob attended as many events of the children and grandchildren as they possibly could. She gladly cared for many of her grandchildren when they were young while their parents were working. Peggy was a wonderful cook who looked forward to hosting large family dinners. Over the years, she and Bob enjoyed weekends that may have involved dancing or drives in the countryside to enjoy nature's beauty. She was a wonderful woman whose greatest joy was caring for her family. A public visitation for family and friends (with Covid protocols in place) will be held at Arthur-Day Funeral Home on Thursday, September 24, 2020 from 11 am to 1 pm. Private services for immediate family only will be held after the visitation; family member Steve Smith will officiate. Interment will follow at Roseland Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, contributions in Peggy's memory to the Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated.
