Phillip Alton LaMaire's Obituary
Phillip Alton LaMaire, Age 79, passed away November 13, 2023.
He was born on October 3, 1944, in Jackson, Michigan to Arthur and Norma (Simonds) LaMaire. Phillip married the love of his life, Sue, on September 11, 2013, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He will be remembered as a proud Navy Veteran. Phillip spent 2 years in the Navy, stationed on a nuclear submarine. He was even sent to the Russian coast during the Cold War. After Phillip left the Navy, he became a commercial long haul truck driver. Once he met Sue, she traveled with him all over the country. When Phillip wasn’t on the road, you could find him piddling around in his garage working on cars. However, he loved to go to thrift stores and garage sales. Phillip would always say “one person’s junk is another person’s treasure!”
Phillip will be missed by his beloved wife, Sue; his children, Phillip (Tammy) LaMaire, Brian (Diana) Cummer, Scott (Kristin) LaMaire, Ara LaMaire, Amber LaMaire, Tracy LaMaire. Siblings, Charles “Chuck” LaMaire and Sherrie Tiffany, 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
