Phyllis was a long-time member of "Lady Lions" of Vandercook Lions Club. She was active in the 4-H Club teaching sewing, cake decorating, arts and crafts, was a former Girl Scout leader and Cub Scout den mother, was active at her church coordinating funeral dinners, carried on a tradition making Christmas candy with her family for the last 40 years and was an avid square and round dancer, where her sewing skills provided colorful outfits for Erv and herself.
