Prudy "Tommie" E. Shickles' Obituary
Age 92, of Parma, MI since 2016, formerly of Rockford, IL, passed away at the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home in Jackson, MI on Wednesday, November 25, 2020. Tommie is survived by three sons, Richard Lynn (Alyce) Schooler of Bland, MO, Ronald Lee (Linda) Schooler of Winnebago, IL and Roy Larry Schooler of Parma, MI; step-daughters, Judy Radean and Nancy (John) Myers; brother, Robert (Marty) Shields of Dayton, OH; many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Shickles; step-son, Dan Shickles; and siblings, Glen, Roy, Leon, Ruby, Julene and Frieda. Tommie was a wonderful, understanding and patient wife and mother. She was a waitress for more than 20 years, much of that at Miller's Café and the Beefeater Inn. Later she was employed and retired from the Barber-Colman Company where she worked on the assembly line. Tommie enjoyed attending the Maywood Evangelical Free Church in Rockford. Her hobbies included Swedish weaving, crocheting, needlepoint and quilting. Cremation has taken place and no public services are planned.
