Raymond Robert Hill's Obituary
Age 93, of Napoleon Township, passed away at the Jackson County Medical Care Facility on Wednesday, November 11, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruthie in 1990; step-daughter, Ann King; sisters, Jane VanConant and Ruth DeLand; and nephew, Greg DeLand. Ray is survived by his step-daughter, Linda Crocker of Alabama; nieces, Carol Perrine and Linda Dorrell of Jackson; and nephew, Mike DeLand of Alaska. Ray was a retiree of the U.S. Air Force, serving during World War II and Korea. In civilian life, Ray worked at the Post Office in Jackson in 1966 and at Port Huron as well. After that, he worked 15 years with the FAA as an Air Traffic Controller at Indianapolis, Lafayette and finished with 8 years at Reynolds Field in Jackson. As was his request, private graveside services to be interred next to Ruthie were held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Napoleon.
