Raymond Emmett Moore, 74, of Vandercook Lake, Michigan, passed away on April 10, 2026 at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Ray was born on March 24, 1952 , in Jackson, Michigan, to Emmett “Skip” and Bonita “Bonney” (Rogers) Moore. Ray attended Parkside schools where he met his high school sweetheart, Linda. They married on June 6, 1970 in Jackson, Michigan and enjoyed life together until her passing in 2020. Ray grew up on a farm and worked on it with his dad. He liked to travel with his family making many memories. Their journeys took them from North to South and East to West in adventures all over the United States. He and his wife became snowbirds later in life and loved being in Florida six months out of the year. Ray was a fun-loving guy who made lots of friends along the way. He was especially fond of hanging out at the Chase or going to the Beach Bar with his best friend Joe. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Ray will be missed by his daughter, Dawn (Chris) Moore; his son, Robert Moore; grandchildren, Alexys (Tyler) Hill, Gage Ray and Brian Moore; great-grandson, Daxton; close friends, Joe Circloff and Jeff Bradley. He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda, his parents, Emmett and Bonita and sister Linda Shinaberry.
