Retha J McEntire's Obituary
McENTIRE, RETHA J. Age 95, of Cement City, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2013 under the loving care of her family and the staff at the Jackson County Medical Care Facility. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin McEntire; daughters, Juanita Mae and Dora McEntire, Shirley Fletcher and Mary Jane Smith; sons, Richard, James, William and David McEntire; and close friend, Archie Perkins. Retha is survived by her son, John (Beverly) McEntire; three daughters-in-law, Faye, Betty and Ann; 33 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; eight great-great-great-grandchildren; and her half-sister, Thelma Hemminger. She retired in 1975 from Corning Glass in Albion and was a proud member of the Cement City VFW Post #9453 Ladies Auxiliary. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
