Richard Cunningham was a rare, shining example, of what an amazing husband, father, grandfather, uncle and human being should be. To my Aunt Sandy, Stacey, Lance and family, I am so very sorry for your loss. Unfortunately i too know this pain, but I sincerely hope as the days go by, your tears turn to smiles, as did mine, when you talk about, brag and reminisce about his incredible life and legacy. I am so very sorry I did not see him as much as I could have these past couple of years, but will always fondly remember all of our family trips, holidays and bowling tournaments together. I wish I would have told him more about how often I bragged about him, his service as a Marine, how he ran circles around anyone else within 20 years of his age, because I bragged about him all the time. I know how much he loved his family and how proud he was of them. He will be truly missed, but never forgotten! I am so very glad I got to at least talk to him on the phone a month ago, never realizing it would be my final time.
