Richard Herbert Hale's Obituary
Age 75, of Leoni Township, formerly of Grass Lake, passed away June 13, 2020 at the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home after a long and valiant battle with dementia with his loving wife and family by his side.. He is survived by his wife of 52 years; Elaine C. (maiden-Farr) Hale, two children; Amy Hale and Daniel (Valerie) Hale, three grandchildren; Danielle, Kayla and Devin Hale, sister; Janice (George) Kitley and brother; Vaughn Hale, several nephews, nieces and grandnephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; Homer R. and Ruth E. (maiden-Gottschalk) Hale. Mr. Hale served the nation in the US Army Reserve for six years, retired from the Goodyear Distribution Center in Jackson after 30 years of service, enjoyed reading and was an avid fan of baseball and hockey. He was a former member of St. Aidan's Episcopal Church and now belonged to St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Jackson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, June 17, 2020 from 4-6 pm with attention current public health restrictions. A Public Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held at the church when the current COVID restrictions are lifted. Elaine and her family wish to thank the staff at the Jackson County Medical Care Facility (Units 1 & 3) and the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home for their care of our loved one. Contributions in his memory are directed to St. Paul's Episcopal Church or the Cascades Humane Society.
