Richard D Kathrens' Obituary
Richard D Kathrens Sr., 85, passed away February 12, 2023. Richard’s family and friends will gather on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 10:00 am at Eineder Funeral Homes - Michigan Center Chapel (formerly Arthur Day Funeral Home). His funeral service will follow at 11:00 am with Reverend David Augenstein serving as celebrant. Interment will immediately follow at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.
He was born on December 2, 1937, in Sandusky, Ohio to Harold and Letha (Hailey) Corder. Richard married the love of his life, Jacquelyn “Jackie”, on January 9, 1969, in Silver Spring, Maryland. He will be remembered as a loving Dad and Grandpa. Richard was most proud of his grandchildren. When he was younger, he enjoyed boxing and working on cars and loved to race just about everything he possibly could. Richard enjoyed spending time with Jackie camping and going to casinos. His final days were spent in the house he built, with comfort from family and friends.
Richard will be missed by his children, Richard (Wendy) Kathrens Jr., Bob (Natasha) Kathrens; brothers, Neil Kathrens and Mike Corder; grandchildren Zach, Ryan (Tasha), Brooke, Drea, Seven and Rachel; and great grandson Noah. He is preceded in death by his wife Jackie, and his parents, Harold & Letha Corder.
