Richard E. Korniski's Obituary
Age 74, of Michigan Center, passed away May 9, 2017 at his home under the loving care of his family and Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice. He is survived by two daughters, Laurie Korniski and Julie (Bret) Harness, two grandchildren, Keegan (Hannah Shay) and Amanda (Schuyler Shurboff) Harness, special friend, Dianne Planeta. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary in 2007, his parents, Edward and Lottie (Cielen) Korniski, two sisters, Jeanette Knapp and Joyce Korniski and his brother, Gary Korniski. He had worked as a steel maker retiring from Overhead Conveyer, loved to go up north and was an avid University of Michigan Sports Fan. He belonged to Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church where a Funeral Mass will be held Friday, May 12, 2017 at 11 am with Father Peter Lawrence officiating. Interment St. Johns Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 pm with Recitation of the Rosary at 7:30 pm. Contributions in his memory are directed Our Lady of Fatima or Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice. Special thanks to the Hospice Staff for all their kindness and service during Richard's last days.
