Richard Fred Leffler's Obituary
Richard Fred Leffler, 85, of Spring Arbor, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024, from 10:30AM- 12:30PM at Eineder Funeral Homes- Michigan Center Chapel (formerly Arthur- Day Funeral Home), with military honors taking place at 11:30AM.
Richard was born on December 15, 1938, in Passaic, New Jersey to Fred and Zelah (Bennett) Leffler. He graduated from Michigan Center High School in 1956, where he was very active in band, athletics, and many other school functions. Richard went on to serve in the 82nd Airborne Division and U.S Army reserve. After his time of service, he went on to have a career as a Dental Technician, co-founding Precision Dental Arts, where he trained many loyal and faithful employees. Richard also founded RFL LLC Real estate and helped provide homes to many. He enjoyed golf, bowling, wintering in Florida, going to the casino, traveling in the motorhome, and playing cards with friends and family. Richard’s greatest love was his wonderful wife Darla of 33 years, his family, and many friends.
Richard is survived by his wife, Darla; children, Tracy Leffler (Mike Long), Jenny (Terry) Callaghan, Polly (Jim) Zaborowski, Angela Corwin (Allen Cole), Scott Gilbert, Melissa (Gary) Wrozek), and Jon Gilbert; beloved grandchildren, Brett (Hayley) Weldy, Lauren Weldy, Dylan, Danielle, Amanda Zaborowski, Victoria (Mitchell) Tanner, Mitchell Corwin, Joshua (Jordyn) Wrozek, Nathan Wrozek, Emily (Erik) Byl, Lucas, and Miranda Gilbert, and Robbie (Ashleigh) Gilbert; and six great- grandchildren. His greatest wish was to see the accomplishments of his daughters and his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son, Robert, and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Memorial contributions in Richard’s memory are suggested to The Salvation Army, or Grotto Club.
