Richard D. Pickering's Obituary
Age 75, of Albion Township, formerly of Olcott Lake, passed away at his home on Tuesday, July 26, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Diana; seven children, Debbie (Butch) Miller, Barb (Mitch) Allen, Sheri Buck (John Rinehold), Jo Pickering, Kendra Pickering, Kelly Ryan and Tammy Ryan (Craig Hakala); numerous beloved grand and great-grandchildren; siblings, Colleen Staplepon, Allan Pickering and Kathy Otts; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Richard was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Ryan and sister, Carol "Jeanie" Pickering. He was a member of the Army National Guard and a retiree of the State of Michigan as a corrections officer; he worked at Clark Equipment for many years. Services for Richard will be held at the funeral home on Monday, August 1, 2016 at 11:00 am with Pastor John Tovey officiating. Interment will follow at Roseland Memorial Gardens with Military Honors from the Jackson County American Legion Ritual Team. Visitation at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm. Contributions in his memory are directed to the family for their needs and wishes.
