Rita L. Adams' Obituary
Age 90, of Napoleon Township, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at the Jackson County Medical Care Facility. She is survived by two sons, Alan (Loyce) Adams and Kirk Adams; niece, Deborah Demeter (Edward); one granddaughter, Stephanie Adams and great-granddaughter, Harper Banta; grandnephew, Matt Roberts (Stacey); three step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Robert R. in 2005; son, Brian Adams in 2017; three sisters, Catherine Largent, Hesper Adams and Wilda Sinnamon; grandniece, Jenelle Roberts and her parents, Andrew and Julia (McFarland) Riddle. She was a charter member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and retired as a supervisor from Camp International after 32 years of service. Following her retirement from Camp International, Rita went on to retire at age 80, from the Napoleon High School cafeteria after 10 years of service. Mrs. Adams has been cremated. A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at 11:00 am with Father Satheesh Alphonse, SdC officiating. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, attendees will be required to wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines. Interment of remains will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Napoleon. Contributions in her memory are directed to the Fatima Building Fund.
