Robert Joseph Bielat's Obituary
Robert Joseph Bielat, 82, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021, peacefully at home in the care of his loving wife with his daughters Kelly and Kathy. He was born on April 17, 1939, in Lincoln Park, Michigan to Paul and Josephine (O’konski) Bielat. Robert married the love of his life, Janice Lawson, on December 8, 1961, in Romulus, Michigan. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband and father that was very generous to all who knew him. Robert loved to cruise the lake in his classic boat, and tinker with his cars. He and Janice took many Sunday afternoon leisure drives, and day trips to see the fall colors and such. Robert was an avid outdoorsman, building his current home so they could be close to nature. He belonged to a bowling league in his earlier years and the Archery club. For many years he enjoyed hunting, until recently when just enjoying nature was enough. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines. Robert will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Robert is survived by his wife of 59 years, Janice; his children, Kelly (Roger) McFall, Kathy Loader and Robert Bielat; a brother, Clarence Bielat; grandchildren Allison McFall, Kyle, Kurt and Kevin Loader; nieces Renee Seel, Darlene Berry, Loriann Dalpe and Donna Wake. He is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Dorothy, Richard, Thomas, Grace and Lorraine.
