Robert J. Cole Sr.'s Obituary
Robert J Cole Sr, Age 103, passed away February 19, 2023. Robert’s family and friends will gather on Friday, February 24, 2023, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am for visitation. Eineder Funeral Homes (formerly Arthur Day Funeral Home) – Michigan Center Chapel. His funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Roseland Cemetery, Jackson, Michigan
He was born on January 19, 1920, in Webberville, Michigan to Milton and Gertrude (Williams) Cole. Robert married the love of his life, Louise, on May 8, 1948, in Jackson, Michigan. He will be remembered as a great family man who adored his grandchildren. Robert was a proud WWII Veteran, serving in the Army from 1941 through 1945. Robert also was an avid hunter and loved to camp. In his spare time, Robert was an active member and a past president of the Michigan Center Eagles #3634. Robert also worked for Leoni Fire Department and Police Department for 38 years.
Robert will be missed by his 4 children: Jacqueline Simon, Geraldine May (Jerry)Boley, Denise Marie Cole and Robert J Cole. Jr., four grandchildren, Angela Simon, Richard (Patty) Boley, Nichole Simon and Kenneth (Andrea) Boley. He is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Louise Cole, his parents, his daughter, Roberta, and his son-in-law Thomas Simon.
