Robert Eugene Haines' Obituary
Age 88, of Napoleon Township, passed away at his home July 14, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 68 year, Laura B. (maiden-Smith) Haines; three children, Denise (Todd Hartzog) Haines, Christine (Gary) Brion and Gary Haines; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and four great-great grandsons; sister, Barbara (Mike) Pozzanghera; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, George Haines; his sister, Alene Shepard and his parents, Homer A. and Norma J. (maiden-Gulliford) Haines. Robert served the nation in the US Naval Reserve; retired as a machinist after a 42 year career at Kelsey Hayes and was a diehard Ohio State Buckeyes fan. He was a long time and devoted member of the Harmony Baptist Church (6475 Ann Arbor Road) where services will be held Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 11 am. Private interment will take place at Roseland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to services. Contributions in his memory are directed to the Harmony Baptist Church Food Pantry.
